Agents are the middlemen in any business; they link the seller to the buyer. But care should be taken to choose the right partners or agents to aid in selling the omc outdrive. The omc company or the BPR would go to every effort to support Crowley marine to globalize it business for that means more exposure and sales for their products. In choosing the partners the Crowley marine should consider; the past record of the companies and if new the record of the directors, the potential of each and every region, the financial outlay needed, the regulatory requirements in the areas and others  that would affect the expansion. By getting agents or partner it means that the business is having a geographical expansion.

The agents chosen should be eligible to trade in outboard parts in the regions they are located and should illustrate some degree of honest, trust and loyalty. Also there would be no use to recruit agents from areas where boating is minimal. When one is new in some areas he prone to be cheated by wolves in sheep’s skin thus proper vetting should be done before signing the agents. 

The definite target of the Crowley marine is the boat industry, despite that it is not well defined the agents should strive to capture even other product markets so that they can act as the researchers on the ground for every opportunity that comes up. In expansion the company should be ready to venture into other markets as the ship parts so that it can be the all supplier of the marine parts
